Atsushi Hasebe was born in 1963 at Fukushima, Japan. While in high school he studied electronics. His association with Shinji Shumeikai and taiko began in 1983. As a member of the Ensemble, he plays the chu-daiko and the flute. Among his favorite pastimes are strolling in nature and Natural Agriculture farming.
